We are so happy to have Kyle on the JBG team.  We know his experience in green building and construction will a major asset.  Kyle Abney has over ten years of experience with sustainable design and construction. As the founding president of the nation’s first student chapter (University of Florida) of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), a founding officer of one of the state’s first USGBC chapters (Central Florida), the founding chair of the state’s first branch of a USGBC Chapter (Treasure Coast & Palm Beach) and the current Immediate Past President of the USGBC South Florida Chapter, Kyle is a green building pioneer and leader in the state of Florida.
Having experience with the USGBC’s LEED for New Construction, Existing Buildings, Commercial Interiors and Home standards, the Florida Green Building Coalition’s Florida Green Home, Florida Green Commercial and Florida Green Local Government standards, and the NAHB Research Center’s National Green Building Standard, Kyle is knowledgeable of all of the various certifications available for both commercial and residential projects in Florida.

Kyle brings a unique perspective to the Jensen Beach Green project. He represents in his work and integrated approach the successful merger of his design education and construction experience. Kyle’s background allows for “real life” knowledge to set and achieve realistic goals in our JBG project that are high performance and cost effective.  He will be a great addition to are already great architectural team.
